Start of Construction at Lörrach Central Hospital (ZKL)

It’s on! Funding for the project of the century was released on 20 July, thus achieving an important milestone. The new building is designed in the form of a cloverleaf. The three nursing care buildings planned can be extended by a fourth as required.

The undertaking is considered to be exemplary structural project in Baden-Württemberg and is being implemented with great commitment and in close cooperation with the client and the general planner. This is also demonstrated by the ambitious schedule. The opening is planned for the beginning of the second quarter of 2025.

The new central hospital in Lörrach will include 13 operating theatres and 6 delivery rooms. There will be space for 677 nursing beds, 67 intensive care beds (including 21 for infants and children), as well as geriatric medicine with 48 beds and paediatric medicine with 32 beds, plus 8 places for a psychosomatic day clinic.
