University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein: Campus Kiel Opened

Hospital of the future: The University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) is expanding and optimising its two campuses in Lübeck and Kiel. On 16 August, the campus in Kiel was officially opened with 700 invited guests and numerous visitors. It is a real project of the century for Kiel and the state, praised Minister President Daniel Günther.

In the new Kiel Central Hospital, the various uses will be combined in a large urban form and connected with the existing clinic. The campus will have a new main entrance with a well-lit main thoroughfare. From here the outpatient departments, other faculties and the elevators to the wards can be easily reached.

On behalf of BAM and VAMED, the planning consortium consisting of HDR, tsj architekten, JSWD Architekten and a|sh architekten is responsible for planning implementation of the UKSH master plan.
